Steve Kowit Joins Perigee as Poetry Editor
Multiple award winning poet Steve Kowit has joined Perigee as Poetry Editor. In addition to authoring several books of his own poetry, Kowit has edited a poetry anthology, The Maverick Poets; written several works on the subject of writing poetry, including the highly praised In the Palm Of Your Hand: The Poet's Portable Workshop; and has had poetry in a wide range of respected journals, magazines and newspapers such as The Los Angeles Times, The New Yorker, The Yoga Journal and The Sun. Noted Writers Join Perigee as Contributing Editors
Noted writers Walter Cummins and Thomas E Kennedy are the newest members of Perigee's editorial board. Both Cummins and Kennedy joined Perigee as Contributing Editors in February of 2009. Perigee's Non-Fiction Editor Nominated for Pushcart Prize
Perigee's Non-Fiction Editor, R.A. Rycraft, has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize for her story "Komunyakaa Days," which won the Best Short Stories Editor's Prize in the 2008 issue of Best New Writing: Eric Hoffer Award for Books and Prose (Hopewall Publications). Best New Writing>
