About the 2008 Finalist Judge:

THOMAS E KENNEDY is the author of The Copenhagen Quartet, which consists of four novels about the loves and seasons of the Danish capital, where Kennedy has lived for over 30 years. He has written 22 books. Kennedy’s stories have been published in more than 100 literary venues. He has won the New Letters Essay Award, (2007); the Eric Hoffer Best Novel Award (Green's Summer, 2004); the O. Henry Prize; the Pushcart Award; the Gulf Coast Best Short Story Award; the Charles Angoff Best Short Story Award; and the Frank Expatriate Writers Award. His 11th novel, A Passion in the Desert and his 3rd story collection, Cast Upon the Day, were published in 2007. His latest collection of essays will be published by New American Press in 2008.
