Details: Perigee is looking for a poet to join the editorial staff as a poetry co-editor. There are currently two other poetry co-editors, and the candidate for this position would need to work closely with them as well as the Editor in Chief. Responsibilities include reading and judging poetry submissions, corresponding with poets as necessary, advising on poetry design content and format, assisting in poetry contests, and generally taking the initiative to make Perigee the best it can be. In addition, editors are expected to take reasonable measures to attend regular meetings.
No monetary compensation is offered for any editorial position at this time. Should any positions receive pay in the future, this position would qualify for consideration. Staff Writer Compensation: Voluntary, no monetary compensation (see details).
Requirements: At least a Bachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, or a related field. Excellent writing skills a must! Experience in journalism (including interviewing) and with editting others' work is strongly preferred. Successful publication of original work in a reputable online or print publication.
Details: Responsibilities include any or all of the following depending on preferences: interviewing artists or writers for feature articles, reviewing movies or music, writing op-ed pieces, and contributing work to Perigee on a regular basis. No monetary compensation is offered at this time. Should it become feasible in the future, staff writers would qualify for consideration of monetary compensation on a content-dependant basis.

Advertising Manager Compensation: Percentage of ad revenue, to be negotiated. No upfront compensation.
Requirements: At least a two year degree in Business, Advertising, or a related field. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills a must, along with the obligatory computer skills required in today's world. Basic knowledge of Macromedia Dreamweaver a plus, and passion for the arts preferred. Residence within the greater San Diego area strongly preferred.
Details: Responsibilities include arranging and managing advertising aspects of Perigee: contacting and communicating with potential advertising clients, selling and maintaining ads, attending to ethical issues regarding advertising, and taking the initiative to generate advertising revenue for Perigee. Monetary compensation is offered for this position, dependent upon advertising revenues and based on a percentage of that revenue to be negotiated.
Associate Publisher Compensation: Percentage of subscription revenue upon publication of Perigee in print, to be negotiated. No upfront compensation.
Requirements: At least a two year degree in Publishing, Design, or a related field. Expertise in layout, design, and publication in the digital era. Included therein, knowledge of Adobe InDesign and Adobe PhotoShop. Experience with publication practices. Must reside within the greater San Diego area.
Details: Perigee has long intended to move from the Internet to the printed page, and is looking for someone to take on this task. Responsibilities include assisting with layout and design, and acting as liaison between Perigee and printing company. Monetary compensation is offered for this position, dependent upon subscription revenues and based on a percentage of that revenue to be negotiated.

Requirements: At least a Bachelor's Degree in Photography, or a related field. Familiarity with digital and emulsion based photography, as well as Adobe PhotoShop and/or Macromedia Fireworks. Successful publication of original work in a reputable online or print publication. Must reside within the greater San Diego area. Experience in the darkroom, and with various printing techniques, strongly preferred.
