Perigee's 2010 Fiction Contest is now accepting submissions. The contest will close on May 15th, 2010.
Perigee will consider unpublished fiction, up to 5,000 words. Each story requires a $10.00 US contest fee. There is no limit to the number of contest submissions you may make. No simultaneous submissions, please. Submissions must be written in English. Please use a standard typeface such as Times New Roman 12, with standard margins.
Please do not include identification within the submission itself. Contest submissions are considered in a blind (anonymous) manner. Your name and contact information will be gathered during the submission process and do not need to appear within the file itself.
By submitting to Perigee you agree to grant us one time international copyright to the work you submit. You also attest to the fact that the work is your own, original writing. Upon publication, the copyright reverts back to you, the author—although we reserve the right to present the work ad infinitum in our archives section, or reprint it in a Perigee best-of anthology.
After paying your contest entry fee via PayPal you'll be given the opportunity to submit your contest submission directly through our web site.
No simultaneous submissions should be made to our fiction contest. Simultaneous submissions are accepted only for regular submissions, not contests.
Your submission will be eaten by our server, never again to see the light of day, if its file name has any apostrophes, commas, or other special characters in it. Remove these characters from the file name before uploading your submission!
Never submit more than one work in a single file.
Do not submit to our contest via e-mail.
Make sure your e-mail server or program allows e-mails from Perigee, otherwise we cannot contact you regarding your submission.
Perigee is published exclusively online at this time.
